Redmi K50 Ultra comes with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

Redmi launched the brand new Redmi K50 Ultra in china at the price point of 3000 Yuan. We don't know when it will launch in India, but if this is found in India it would be a crazy deal. 

Redmi K50 Ultra Box Contents

It comes in the typical box packaging with a white color theme and Redmi branding. In the box, we see some paperwork and documents. We also get a decent transparent case and a 120w break with Type A to Type C cable. This is all we get in the box. 

Redmi K50 Ultra Design

In design terms, it looks like the old phones. The designs look like budget smartphones quite similar to the Redmi note 3 to Redmi note 5. Disappointed with the design part.

Color Option - It comes in three colors option Elegant Black, Silver Traces, and Ice Blue.

Redmi K50 Ultra Ports & Buttons

Talking about the ports and buttons of the Redmi K50 Ultra. At the bottom, we see a Type-C port for charging, a sim slot, and speaker grills. 

At the top, we get an IR blaster, a noise-canceling microphone, and a stereo speaker grill. on the left side, it's a plan. on the right side, we get a volume rocker and a power on/off button. It also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Weight - The weight of the Redmi K50 Ultra feels around 200g. But the actual weight is 206.5 without a case. 

Redmi K50 Ultra Display

The design felt like an old Redmi device but the display of the Redmi K50 Ultra comes with a 6.7inch of 120Hz refresh rate which is a 1.5k display. It's not a 2K nor a full FHD. It lies in middle. It also comes with a 12-bit display. 

Redmi K50 Ultra Specification

The Redmi K50 Ultra comes with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor which is based on a 4nm technology. The Antutu score is near 1.1 million not on the score but it also feels when you play games on it. we do not find any lack or frame drops we get the buttery smooth experience while playing games on it.

The thermals and the playing experience were good after playing for more than 45mins the thermals are really good.

Storage option - It comes with four options 8GB/12GB RAM of LPDDR5. It comes with 128GB/256GB/512 GB. 

where first option is 8GB+128GB, second option is 8GB+256GB, Third option is 12GB+256GB, and Fourth option is 12GB+512GB.

Battery - Coming to the battery section of the Redmi K50 Ultra it has 5000MAH with 120w of fast charging which is wired charging.

Redmi K50 Ultra Camera

It comes with the triple camera setup where the primary camera is 108MP which is f/1.6 OIS, the other is 8MP which is a wide-angle sensor, and the last we see is a 2MP Macro sensor. 

The front sensor is 20MP sony IMX596. we can shoot video at 1080P at 60FPS from the front sensor, and we can shoot video at 4K at 60FPS from the primary sensor.

Camera features - The features we get in the camera section it has super slow-motion 960 lock mode, and movie effects.

Redmi K50 Ultra Multimedia

The display is one of the highlights of the Redmi K50 Ultra it has HDR10, and L1 widevine support. The colors and the pixel density were accurate so the color correction and color contrast were good and the viewing angles while videos are wonderful and the speakers are balanced not too loud it's a balanced combination. 

Redmi K50 Ultra Sensors & Connectivity

Talking about the sensor the Redmi K50 Ultra comes with all the sensors, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, and face unlock. 

Connectivity - It has 5G but we don't know how many bands it supports as we expected it may come with all the bands when it launched in India. It comes with dual 4G Volte support, Wi-Fi calling, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. 

Redmi K50 Ultra Cons

We said all but a few things are missing as it comes at the flagship level it should have the IP Rating, Wireless Charging, but there is no notification light and no FM Radio.

Conclusion

In our opinion, the Redmi K50 Ultra is really Ultra in certain features and certain absolutes it's not an Ultra for ex the design and back panel, camera in secondary at flagship 2Mp and 8Mp it should be better, previously Redmi use to give 5Mp Macro sensor but there started 2Mp that to in Flagship level device.

In the terms of Display and performance, this phone is really ultra if this smartphone is launched in India with the same specification the person who is interested in Display and performance than definitely look at this device.
